 Students working
(ELEF will sponsor two practice ACTs per year, with the next scheduled for Fall 2011.)

ACT Workshop:
The East Lansing Educational Foundation teamed up with Sylvan Learning Center to sponsor a practice ACT test for East Lansing students. Over 85 students spent a Saturday morning in February learning some test taking tips and completing a full ACT practice test. The foundation raised over $1500 during the day, which will return to benefit students in the form of ELEF grants to teachers. Thank you to our volunteers and to Sylvan Learning Center and Grand Traverse Pie Company for their contributions to the day.

The ELEF is a community-based, non-profit organization that works to raise, manage and distribute private funds to complement the outstanding work of our public school system. Since our inception, ELEF has granted over $200,000 to East Lansing’s classrooms that has provided teachers with innovative and supplemental materials that further engage our students in their process of learning. Please enjoy the information provided to you. We hope you join us in our quest to make supplemental materials and programs available, adding to the exceptional learning environment for which East Lansing is known.
