Financial Information


The East Lansing Educational Foundation (ELEF) is a registered 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization.  All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. 

The Foundation's funds are maintained in both non-endowed and endowed accounts.  The general non-endowed account is the primary funding source for our Teacher Grant Program and the Sarah Tarpoff Writing Project. 

The ELEF endowment funds, along with their established purpose, are listed below.  These funds are managed by the Capital Region Community Foundation.     

    • General Endowment Fund for academics, arts, athletics, technology and general use
    • Asa Bromley Memorial Fund for ELHS Debate Program 
    • Calder Bromley Memorial Fund for ELPS libraries
    • Corey Cafagna Fund for ELPS Special Education programs and the ELHS Jazz Band and Choral programs
    • Dorothy McDonald Fund for Orchestral Music
    • Mary Anne Sternberg Marshall Fund for the Performing Arts
    • John Ropp Fund for Non-conventional schooling opportunities
    • Jason Wildman Scholarship Fund
